Here are some answers to a few common beauty questions.



***What should I do to prep for a bikini wax?


I would suggest about 4 weeks hair growth, exfoliating the area a few days prior to waxing with a dry brush or sugar/salt scrub to help minimize ingrown hairs. You can continue exfoliating the area after waxing, just wait a minimum of 24 hours to let the skin calm down first. I would also suggest not booking your appointment too close to your menstrual cycle, as you might be more sensitive. Take an ibuprofen an hour or so before your appointment and use aloe to calm the skin after waxing.

Make sure you allow 24 hours in between tanning and waxing. Tanning is a light exfoliant to your skin and so is waxing, the two mixed can make for a painful experience. Please make sure that cold/hard wax is used if getting a brazilian or underarm wax, it is much more comfortable and gentle on the skin.


***How do I avoid breakouts after a facial or facial waxing?


Sometimes breakouts happen after facials because the exfoliant helped bring everything to the surface of your skin and can't be avoided. I recommend drinking LOTS of water after a facial, to cleanse the toxins from your system and also to avoid makeup right after, especially after face waxing. Your pores are irritated and open and putting heavy makeup on can cause problems. Mostly though, just keeping it clean and not touching the area right after waxing will make a huge difference. Do not book your first facial or waxing close to an important event, you need to know how your skin will react to the product line and waxing.




***What is the difference between an enzyme facial and a glycolic facial?


An enzyme is one step lower than a glycolic acid facial, it isn't as harsh on your skin. It sloughs off dry skin and gives you a nice glow. Glycolic is an acid that sinks deeper into the skin, giving you a deeper pore cleanse, as well as sloughing off dry skin



***What is a "must" for skin care?


My three top things I suggest is exfoliating once a week and using eye cream and sunscreen daily.
